Accessibility
Last updated: 4 July 2026
Accessibility is part of building things properly. We aim to make this website usable by as many people as possible, and to build the same standard into the sites we deliver for clients.
Our approach
This website is built to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a target. In practice that means we pay attention to:
- semantic, well-structured HTML and a logical heading order;
- sufficient colour contrast for text and interface elements;
- keyboard access, visible focus states and a skip-to-content link;
- descriptive alternative text for meaningful images;
- respecting the "reduce motion" setting, so animations are minimised for those who prefer it;
- responsive layouts that work across screen sizes and zoom levels.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never "finished". We test as we build and welcome feedback that helps us improve. If any part of this site is difficult to use, we want to hear about it.
Reporting an issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, please email hello@abcode.co.uk with a description of the problem and the page it affects. We aim to respond within a few working days and to fix issues promptly.
Accessibility in the work we deliver
We build accessibility into client projects as standard, and can carry out dedicated accessibility reviews and improvements on request. If that's something you need, get in touch via our contact page.
