A lot of my Sheffield-side work is industrial: firms making a specific product for a specific trade, where the buyer knows the subject better than whoever writes the copy. Those sites fail in a particular way. Somebody writes friendly, vague copy about quality and service, and an engineer looking for a tolerance or a material specification bounces within seconds. The job is usually to get the technical detail back on the page, structured so it can be found, without making the site unreadable for the procurement manager signing the order.
