The last nine miles

The Chesterfield Canal Trust is working to restore the last nine miles of the Chesterfield Canal, a job that needs volunteers, visitors, members and donors all pulling in the same direction. The site was built to serve all of them: the restoration story, the ways to get involved, and the practical information people want before they turn up. A WordPress build made to keep pace with a project measured in decades rather than months.

The outcome

Over a decade of service

Since 2014 the site has been the public face of the Trust through a long restoration: volunteers signing up, visitors planning a trip, members and donors finding their way to the right page.

It is one of the longest-standing builds in the ABCode portfolio, and more than a decade of continuous service is the honest measure of it.
