A fast, image-led front end

Marcus Morrey came with a straightforward brief: a custom WordPress build with a fast, image-led front end, for a business whose work is judged on how it looks. The design leans on the photography, with pages built to stay quick despite carrying a lot of imagery, and a structure that keeps the work itself in front of the visitor at all times. Custom rather than off the shelf, because a template would have got in the way of the pictures.

The result is a site that loads fast and looks like the work it is showing, which is a harder combination than it sounds. The imagery carries the pages, the custom build keeps them quick, and nothing in the front end gets between a visitor and what they came to look at.
