The London work on my list is not London-flavoured work. A national governing body. A contractor running sites across the south east. A company selling compliance documents. Three organisations with nothing in common, except that the website had a job to do and somebody had to be accountable for it. That is the pattern down here. Organisations that already know what they want built, and would rather deal with the person building it than with an account team. If what you actually need is a brand team and paid media under one roof, hire an agency, and I will say so on the first call.
This is remote work and I will not pretend otherwise. Projects run on video calls, screen sharing and a live link you can open on your phone, which is how my London work has always run.

Do you ever come to London?
When a project genuinely calls for it, yes. In practice that is rare, because a screen share is better than a meeting room for looking at a website together.
Who have you worked with in London?
The British Esports Federation, plus Bowman's Construction across South and West London, and Obesafe, who sell health and safety documentation. Three very different builds.
What is the difference between a web designer and a web developer?
The web designer shapes how the site looks and reads; the web developer builds it so it loads fast and holds up. Here they are the same person, which means nothing gets lost between a design file and the finished site, and there is one name responsible for both.
Does it matter that you are a WordPress developer specifically?
It matters if your site runs WordPress, and most business sites in London do. A general website developer can work on anything a little; a WordPress developer lives in the platform daily, which shows in how fast the site runs and how rarely it breaks.
Can you build a custom plugin for an existing site?
Yes. If your site works but needs to do something new, a custom plugin is usually quicker and cheaper than a rebuild: scoped in a call, built to survive updates, often delivered in days. It does not matter who built the site originally.
